@ninedirections_forge: I've been busy in the forge working on my new Bowie knife. I had an excellent piece of old steel for this project. I haven't built a knife for myself in a few years! it's been really nice working on a project I get to keep after so many hours of work. in the end this knife can be called a bowie knife, bit just in name. a real bowie knife is a breed all on its own. it's a nother knife I would like to add to my collection or sharp and pointy things. the forging is done! next step will be cleaning up the shape, and then I need to get started on the fuller. I've not yet worked on a fuller, I'm quite happy to start this learning process.

i know exactly how u feel, the last time i tried forging a big dagger i got all the forging and bevels done with no issue and then realised it was wrought iron and not steel...
