@austinfoodadventures: On episode 2 of trying the best Italian subs we try @atx_hoagies aka Papis! They are location in East Austin at the @arborfoodpark We got their Italian for 12 dollars. From the website (This classic cold cut Italian is a fan favorite. Amazingly well aged meats combined with traditional oil & vinaigrettes, it will have you coming back for more. The Goods: Prosciutto, Hot Capicola, Natural Casing Genoa Salami, Provolone Cheese, Mayo, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion & Oil Vinaigrette) Thoughts? I believe I saw somewhere the owner was from New Jersey? Anyway, the sandwich is supposed to come with mayo and that’s a huge nope for me in Italian subs so I asked for no mayo. The actual sandwich is very compact and a bit small imo. I would say I could probably eat 2 to get full. The bread is baguette bread and it was very fresh and soft. Low key the compactness and way it was made really reminded me of banh mi. The flavors overall was good and I would order it again. I liked the taste of the meats as well. I want to go back and try their De Niro sandwich! #atx #austinfoodadventures #atxfoodtime Italian subs in Austin
