@vegan_wakamama: How to compost food waste (Detailed steps below👇) I’ve been doing this at our petite plant based restaurant for years!🌎 Composting is one of the best ways to segregate your kitchen organic waste from the landfills and not mixing with non organic waste to reduce more green house gases and toxic liquid. 🥕Here’s how: 1. Find any unwanted container / bin and designate an area in your house (outdoors recommended). 2. Once you have any kitchen scraps like fruit/veggie peels, coffee grounds, tea leaves, and even rotten fruits, just dump them into the bin. 3. Ensure a good balance of green and brown scraps in layers. 4. Add a layer of green and more ratio of brown and continue the layering. 5. Let nature do its magic! Just help by turning the mixture occasionally. 🌿 *pls note coffee grounds are considered as a green layer! You can use it as natural fertiliser for your plants or donate it to a local community/organisation that needs black gold! 👉If you’d like to learn more, we hold private classes where you can learn to make sustainable lifestyle products and plant based whole foods cooking.
