@builderbrigade: What tipped the scales for you...? ⚖️
Your opinion here could really help someone who’s really debating at the moment.
I’m obviously always going to choose building unless my finances make it an absolute “no”!
Some dudes are “car guys”... well I’m a house guy... Doesn’t have to be some big fancy house but practicality and convenience is my drug 💉 lol.
Things gotta make sense in my house. A place for a spare fridge, no drainage issues, storage, access to places that might need maintenance, outlets for easy Christmas light install, easy yard maintenance, futureproofing, security... If you’ve followed me for more than a day you know this list seriously never ends.
You don’t get a say in those things with an existing house. That’s my own personal reasoning why I’ll always want a new build even if it’s not some crazy awesome financial investment in the end.
What are your thoughts?
If you are building. I’ll help you get started with this sweet ass checklist:

my opinion is building is always better. making someone else's previous home work for your wants and needs is hard.

Always easier to knock down and rebuild rather than renovate. Timing and money are the variables
