As a software engineer, pls remember one of the 3 hardest engineering problems are cache invalidation…. If u don’t invalidate it properly it will definitely become a nightmare.

redis is slow, compared to the amazing dragonflydb which also is multithreaded, uses 40% less memory than redis and supports 470 redis commands

I wouldn't call Redis a database. Also, due to the licencing change, I wouldn't recommend it. Use Valkey instead, same API.

Apollo server a functional cached system so no need to add a additional database just to manage cache. Additional database means additional connection time which will not speed up the application
