@niallbeingniall: Real Examples of Narcissistic Abuse - Ep.4 Narcissist Ruins Special Occasion (Part 4/4) (RE-UPLOAD DUE TO PROCESSING GLITCH) You may know that narcissists have a reputationf or ruining special occasions like holidays, events, ceremonies and, in this case, birthdays. This is a converstion from my birthday last year where my ex decided to ruin my day and make it about her. I'd ahd a good day despite starting it off feeling very low and stressed and she decided the last few hours of the day would be the perfect chance to hurt me and make everything about her. I wasn't allowed to be the centre of attention in her eyes. This is a conversation with my toxic ex who I strongly suspect is a covert narcissist with discouraged BPD. This is a very real conversation and one of many I have saved on my phone. I would like to share these conversations as I feel as if it may be validating and beneficial for those who have suffered narcissistic abuse how it can fool you. Fortunately, I still had the ability to stand up for myself, even amongst the perpetual state of confusion. Unfortunately I would later blame myself for these arguments but looking back I can see I was not the aggressor.
