I did a tour and the guide definitely told us a different tomb was Marie Laveau. Not saying you’re wrong, but clearly different stories are being told on tours

I went on tour in 2018. The guide said her remains are in a different tomb despite the Xs and the headstone. Her real tomb is in the same cemetery, though. I imagine it was done to cancel the possibility of necrophilia. ❤️

There is another tomb that has x’s all over it. Our guide called it “Faux Laveau”. An impatient tour guide apparently showed people that one to beat waiting in line at the real one.

I took the same tour!😊 but my guide did say her daughters were named the same so they think that tomb is actually one of her daughters & she might be buried somewhere else but no one knows for sure😅

There’s another tomb that the tour guides point out that also has the x markings that some people mistake for Marie Laveau’s that’s probably what the confused people are thinking of.
