This is probably such a silly question! If for whatever reason he went into cardiac arrest, and his defib doesn’t work, can you still use a manual defib? Does that make any sense?

For just post surgery in general, make sure you’re hydrated, and everything is in reach. And also, make sure you have fun things to do like colouring etc. good luck!!

Cardiac ICU nurse (hi) Mobilise asap, take the painkillers regularly, rest is super important also.

How on earth did he do a sky dive with a defibrillator 😳 I am shocked, I had heart surgery as a baby and was told not to do anything that could cause sudden shock to the rhythm of the heartbeat xx

Don’t raise arm if leads are also being changed - really important so they don’t pull out of heart. If a defibrillator has leads like my pacemaker does.
