@amybenjaminmoore: Perimenopause is the transitional stage that comes before menopause. It typically begins several years before menopause, as early as your late 30s or early 40s. During perimenopause, your estrogen and progesterone levels start fluctuating, which can cause irregular periods, hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, and other symptoms. Menopause, on the other hand, marks the end of your reproductive years. It is defined as the point when you have gone 12 consecutive months without a menstrual period. Menopause usually occurs in a woman's late 40s or early 50s, although it can happen earlier or later. After menopause, a woman's ovaries no longer produce eggs, and her estrogen levels remain low. Post-menopause is then the day after menopause and continues through the rest of your life. This period is when your estrogen drops dramatically. Some women may do well through this time, while others continue to experience symptoms. 😊 Check out the free resources I've created just for you under my profile! 🤗 I empower women in menopause to create self-care habits, allowing them to live their best lives guilt-free! #midlife #menopause #perimenopause #postmenopause #GenXWomen #WomenEmpoweringwomen #advocateforyourself #phasesofmenopause #menopauseeducator #menopausementor
