Have you tried it? We practiced and the blanket wasn’t as good as it seemed, using it as a shield would work well though.

Can’t any tab be used for this one of my burners ones caught on fire have no idea why it’s not gas. I got a kitchen towel soaked it, put it over the fire and then just dumped water on top of that

I'm have severe anxiety thinking of fires. Keep a fire extinguisher in several rooms to make it easier to grab.
