as someone who has laid hands on him, as someone who begged and pleaded for him to stop, as someone who locked herself in the bathroom, who drove for hours around the city just to come home to the same screaming, belittling. threatening, aggression... sometimes the physically violent one is not the villain... I do agree with this wholeheartedly though.

idk whats worse, him doing it or him trying to distract my mind by being super lovey and sweet after he realizes what he did and then later crying to me about it saying how bad he feels and it won’t happen again. just for it to happen again and I can’t say how it makes me feel because it just makes him feel worse..

My ex put his hands around my throat and said it was because I wouldn’t calm that was the first time he got physical but I don’t know if that was abuse because I was only trying to get my phone he snatched away from me and I guess I was a bit too aggressive??

My dad does this to me. He gets drunk and comes into my room. He chats rubbish. Then it starts out as play fighting like just messing around. And he just gets more and more violent with it till he’s just pinning me down and hits me. But it’s just mucking around every time.
