I like this method breaking in a motor but I don’t have time to do allat so I just ride her easy on a tank of 15:1 then she’s good to go, never had a bike blow up after running this method

The biggest reason for “engine break in is to ensure that if shit does come apart or go wrong it doesn’t happen at 12,000 rpm yes it helps for seating rings and what not but that takes miles and hours

All my builds let them warm up and ride as normal. Never had any issues.

high load low rpm, making a dyno the best way, heat cycling is an old idea from qhen cars had such low tolerences you could hear the pistons slap

In theory it should be great your way, heat cycles are supposed to be for the ring to match the cylinder and nothing else.

First heat cycle at idle till radiator is 145-150 degrees. Second heat cycle same with some mid throttle blips. 3rd let it warm up cruise around for 15-20 minutes after 20-30 cool down send it

I just hold it wide down the beach straight after because if you can’t do that didn’t do a good rebuild

thats pretty much the general consensus, my engine builder basically had me do the non riding heat cycles then just go for a nice easy trail ride for 30 minutes then You're good to go all out
