my thought is it's a production issue in the factory. I work in a candy factory ( hard candy factory) but when you push machinery to make more it makes more but not as efficiently.

I was actually wondering if they’d changed the yellow dye to get away from Yellow#5 & that was why it’s a diff hue but I’m not seeing anything when I look online. 🤷🏼♀️

yes I totally agree I was telling my husband this the other day. I always choose peanut butter m&M's for my sweet treat at night. I'm also from Michigan. im glad I'm not the only one.

The plain chocolate mms I bought a couple months ago were the same. The whole bag was jacked up. The candy coating was too thin in so many places and the m was messed up on so many.

I noticed this with the plain M&Ms, the color got weird and faded when I put them on hot popcorn. I thought it was from the heat but they never do that.
