Omg when you said something and they are three sentences behind and writing it all down. Back in the old days , 45 years ago when I started, we taped our reports to the next shift and left!

My unit uses a cardex system so the oncoming nurse receives a prefilled report sheet with everything they need to know. Makes it so much faster!

As a new grad, I just take what they tell me and then figure out myself. The only thing I really need clarification on is like meds, but I try and get them out quickly cause I know I’m still slow.
