@sezzy.brown: Filipino Turon 🍌 @It’s Liz Miu So crispy, crunchy, caramelised and deliciousssss. This popular Filipino street food is so easy to make and so yummy! Ingredients: 3 bananas, sliced into 1/4 long strips 1 can sweet jackfruit, drained and thinly sliced 1/3 cup brown sugar 1 pack spring roll wrappers Neutral oil for frying Method: Pour the brown sugar into a bowl and dip a slice of banana into the sugar until it is well covered. Place the slice of banana onto a spring roll wrapper with some of jackfruit and roll up as you would a spring roll, repeat until you have used up all the banana, jackfruit and wrappers. Bring a few inches of oil to high heat (180°C-190°C or you’ll know it’s ready if a wooden chopstick or spoon begins to bubble when placed in the oil.) Sprinkle in about a tablespoons worth of brown sugar (leftover from rolling the bananas in) directly into the hot oil. Place a few rolls into the hot oil, trying to place them in over the brown sugar parts so that the sugar will adhere to the rolls. You can sprinkle a little extra onto the rolls. Fry rolls until golden and crisp, the brown sugar will caramelise over the turon. Scoop out the left over sugar/caramel and add more sugar between batches so the sugar doesn’t burn. Repeat until you have fried all the Turon. Enjoy! #turon #filipinofoods #Recipe
