Sometimes engineered wood is needed because some species has a higher shrinkage percentage. Once you go above 5” you need to glue and nail. Also engineered is more dimensionally stable than solid.

You also forgot Spc and also engineered can be sanded and restained. Especially with 4 cm wear layer

Vinyl wood floors are honestly good! Hadn’t have much problem with it aside from 1 bad placement that had a few lifts but that’s it

You can’t sand LVP but otherwise it’s much less prone to denting and scratching than hardwood.
