#Homeschooling itself is actually quite simple. What isn’t simple are the sacrifices, compromises, and mindset shift required to fully commit to being not just a parent, but your child’s first teacher—shaping their early experiences into learning, rather than entrusting their formative years to others, where you have no validated insight into what happens behind closed doors. And personally for me, deciding to become a parent, was inherently tied to the decision to be my child’s first teacher — and therapist. From the start, Frank and I were committed to the responsibility of homeschooling, believing it was the best way to achieve our #parentinggoals as we prepared to welcome Michael. It gave us full control to raise him in a way we felt was best for our family. That said, #Parenting is a deeply personal journey, and while we may face similar struggles, what works for our family may not work for others, as every situation, level of commitment, and set of challenges and strengths is unique—shaped by our individual circumstances, resources, and resilience. 📌 Whether you choose daycare, public, or private school early on, it doesn’t diminish the love and care we invest in our roles as parents. In the end, we all share the same goal: raising happy, healthy, and well-rounded children. In sharing our journey, I want to highlight the progress we’ve made by choosing this path and explain why it’s working for Michael and our family—progress that may not have been possible if we had taken the traditional route of sending him to a conventional school. I’m also grateful for the new school choice proposal that now recognizes, supports, and empowers families with the option to homeschool! 🙌🏻 🎬 Catch all the exclusive, on-the-go stories and insights into our daily approach to education and therapy on the Subscribers’ Page👑 📔eBook on Joint Attention & collection of activities, link in BIO 🔗 📔[NEW] eBook on a collection of activities for Speech Exercises, link in BIO 🔗 #heartwarming #familygoals #autism #nonverbal #nonspeaking #ASL #signlanguage #representationmatters #handsome #inspiration #motivation #autismawareness #PeppaPigThemeParkDFW
