True. Car industry is dependant on supply from few countries. Not only batteries but also integrated circuits. Some EU manufacturers purchased home appliances for components during COVID shortages!

Dennis thoughtful as always but in Canada and the USA they are extracting lithium from old oil wells. And no matter who has lithium batteries they have to be charged with electricity from coal or oil
