I tried some of these and immediately got pain in the exterior part of my elbow joint any recommendations to get that to heal faster?

A tendon on the inner part of my arm slips over the bone when I do Press ups and I've been advised to avoid Pull Ups for at least 6-8 weeks. What can I do in the meantime to maintain my ability?
