@tornadotitans: That storm chase when one tornado at a time wasn't nearly enough, so the storm produced multiple sets of twins. This set of twin tornadoes occured on a high-end classic Great Plains tornado outbreak. The tornado in the back was in the process of weakening while the tornado in the foreground was just establishing. This 'hand-off' was the second of four we saw from this storm. The twister that dominates the second half of this set of clips handed off to a much larger 'wedge' shaped tornado as the day turned to night and the storm moved into Kansas. These types of events only occur when the atmosphere is at its absolute most violent in terms of ingredients. #weather #science #nature #oklahoma #tornado
