I feel when I was younger we had a healthy fear of our parents/teachers - kids now know their rights too much so fear has gone and results in unruly kids everywhere… 🤷🏼♀️

growing up i very rarely got smacked but when i did i learnt my lesson. i’m thankful for my late dad everyday as im well respected to others always have been!

I never had to but it was always on the table and we made sure they knew that. She turned out amazing and couldn’t be prouder. If it is used it needs to be done in a controlled way.

I've never hit my kids and they're doing just fine. I live in a country where it is illegal but I grew up in England and was smacked growing up, and I still don't feel the need to smack my children...

Yes - within reason. The fear of good smack instilled a healthy recognition of “actions have consequences” for my generation. The total lack of respect for authority now is shameful

Answer this- if a parent slaps the child its unfair as they need to be protected, if a child slaps the parent whats that then? How you deal with both situations?And then find a reasonable law for both
