Good you can claim it back but 2k in hospital bills doesn’t sound a huge amount for a stay with all the treatment.. Glad you have insurance though..

My mum broke her leg in Lanzarote. Final bill was £130,000 in 2004. Thank goodness for insurance! Such an important message x

on Koh Phangan I paid £700 for an x-ray, moon boot for a broken foot and anti-clotthing medication for the plane. outrageous but I got it all back on insurance anyway

I work as a claims handler in travel insurance and it’s scary the size of some of the hospital bills. I could never travel uninsured.
