Reception teacher here. There are so many different phonics schemes. All schools have their own way of teaching your child. Please wait for them to be old enough and get advice from the school

my daughter is 3 in 2 weeks and still barely talks I do all this with her but she just won't copy. she can say alot but only when she wants

My daughter is gifted and could read before she learnt phonics. School taught her phonics and forced her to make these sounds when she was reading Harry Potter books and it messed with her reading 😢

I’m struggling with the difference between c and k I think I’m confusing my daughter 😅 she knows c but when I try to do k she just stares at me

My baby’s 18 months and can make the sounds from A- M but other letters he still struggle I was told my baby should know how to talk but I know my baby’s taking his time 😊

What gets me is us as parents teach our children the alphabet but we aren’t taught the way they do at school 😩🙈
