They’ve just killed cup competitions. Big clubs don’t respect it and play youth. It used to be a gateway into Europe but now you can underachieve and get 4th to enter “champions” league 1/2

Look at it from the big team’s perspective of how many games they are playing in a season they play 38 match’s in the league 6 matches if they reach the finale in the league cup then they play 6

it's an absolute disgrace Fa cup replays have kept struggling clubs going. the gate revenue from getting a Premier league team keeps a club financially sound for a couple of years

simple answer if the team drawn at home is the lower ranked team they can choose if they want to play it home or away.
