@karaleapior: This is a vulnerable post. We’ve been dealing with sickness again this week (we’re all fine, just tired - it’s going through their whole school, and it always makes me feel better knowing it’s not JUST them) I was diagnosed with anxiety in my early 20s. I was on meds for a bit but decided I wanted to manage it on my own, and overall I do a decent job with that. But when the girls get sick.. my anxiety kicks into overdrive. I have a very hard time controlling intrusive thoughts. I have a hard time dragging myself off google. Between taking care of them / my brain in overdrive I barely sleep. My body / chest feels tight and I lose my appetite. My ears ring a bit. I get heart palpitations. I then start thinking there’s something wrong with ME. It’s something I’m working on. I have 2 close friends that I talk to and basically just update them on the girl’s symptoms - for some reason it feels good to talk it out with someone. They know I need this and are very patient with me, haha. I hope this doesn’t come across as whining. I know many people have it much much worse, and I do try to keep it very positive over here. But thought I would write this just in case anyone else is in the same boat, I know many people struggle with anxiety and it’s nice to not feel alone. That’s all for now 🫶🏻
