south african in the uk here: finding the right ingredients is lowkey a hassle here but just add a teensy bit of baking soda and ACV it’ll be perfect but u did AMAZING

I personally find that melting my butter(batter), adding vinegar and bicarbonate as well as using evaporated milk for the sauce (and additional milk) works best. Looks yum though!! ✨
