It’s better to just see it as bonus songs - you can’t fit that much on vinyl etc. I’m a big fan but I agree it can’t be classed as two albums really

i’m just considering it as a double drop instead of a double album. we basically got double the songs so like a really special deluxe edition that could be seen as a second album.

in my opinion, it’s a double album in the sense that it clearly has 2 parts to it, the standard edition has its own specific sound and theme, and the 2am edition, while similar, was an entirely

it’s 100% partly a marketing ploy but it also lies in the length of the album itself, length defines whether its an album or an ep or whatever so it’s the sheer amount of number - it’s a double album

it's not two individual albums. the "double" drop was js a digital deluxe ver of the first thing with an additional 15 songs, giving us a total of 31. so it's js a long album, not a marketing scheme.

So back in the 90s a double album was an album that went over two CDs. Sometimes they would be songs that worked on themes from the first CD, but took different styles etc.

You just can’t fit this length of an album (31 songs) into one physical copy(realistically)so they add it to the og album no ploy you can stream it for free added songs only exists digitally for now.

I think it was honestly just a nice surprise for fans, she loves giving Easter eggs about new music and a double album was one of them. And the og album was leaked which kinda ruined it for people.

it may seem like that but the second album has a whole different vibe to it. it’s more a dark theme with a lot less synth and more lyrics and poetry. so it’s different but also like the “sister” of it

a single album tends to have 10 to 15 tracks a double is sometimes because 2 CDs are needed to fit all the songs on if there's more than 1 cd allows
