@tomtrottercoaching: Tomorrow I’m going to attempt a Sub 3 London Marathon 🇬🇧 😨 It’s been weeks & weeks of weighing things up. Despite calling it off for the last 5 weeks. I just can’t accept not trying. 4 months ago I set myself the challenge of running a sub 3 Marathon 🏃‍♂️ It was going VERY well. Up until around 6 weeks ago during a half marathon PB ⏱️ I got injured, a diagnosed hamstring tear & nerve damage😔 It’s resulted in 6 weeks no proper running & 200km of training missed. Real talk: “If we never stop, we can never fail” the last six weeks from this set back there has been mental wobbles 🧠 Running is my life. It is my mental health spark. Each morning It brings me purpose to awaken and attack the day, so to have that taken away it has been a struggle. That being said…despite emotions I’ve grown so much mentally. Realising that in these tougher time? THIS is where we grow most. Knowing deep down life has its path…& when one door closes (which won’t make sense, which will be tough) another door opens. The right door! And during that change is where we must adapt, stay strong, trust in the process, control the controllables be excited for the new route and tell yourself despite it’s unfamilair? And you’re filled with doubt outside your comfort zone THIS is EXACTLY where you level up. 🏃‍♂️ 🇬🇧 The Plan (im so friggin nervous / EXCITED to test this TOUGH) MENTALLY I feel so bloody venerable. I have accepted that it’s 80% UNLIKELY to complete this. So I’m ok with just stopping if it pulls up. 💫 Listen to my BODY don’t do any further damage ✅ 💫 LOCK in at Sub 3 race pace (unfamiliar) and hold it for as LONG as possible. 💫 If I stop? I’ve accepted that anyway…if unicorns 🦄 are real & I manage it? Speechless. 🇬🇧 👏🏼 A HUGE congratulations to everyone taking part tomorrow!!! BE so proud of yourself the fact you’ve been brave enough to take this on! The hard work you have put in behind-the-scenes to get yourself prepared for such a mammoth task! It’s truly SO commendable and nothing but mental and physical growth!!! Real talk: embrace those nerves, embrace that scared feeling! See you out there London 🇬🇧 What will be, will be x #fyp #trending #viral #run
