The painting, being the new world where all beings could seek refuge in. Gael, at world's end, travels to the ringed city, in search of the pygmy lords, who house the dark soul. Gael eventually finds the pygmies, and the Som dark soul, but it corrputs him. After the Ashen One touches the embraced shell of Fillianore, we travel into the future, where the entire world has been engulfed by ash. At the top of this ash, sits Gael, a slave who used to fight by our side, now gourging on the souls of ovamy lords like a ravage beast. Gael, upon realization that he is in fact not alone in the desolate wasteland, battles vou for your Dark Soul. Two nobodies, fighting in the middle of nowhere, for nothing.
