It might be worth the money to raise your couch up. Build a frame with 2x4’s or 2x6’s that matches the couches frame around the bottom, box in the feet on top. Adds height and weight for stability

I have cerebral palsy and getting off the couch can be a struggle for me too! I find rocking forward a few times first to gain momentum helps :)

a word of advice, go to the end of the couch and brace yourself against the arm, that may give some more stability 😁 hope that helps
