@futuristarchives: The Concorde was the only aircraft that, going by local time, could land before its departure time; hence the nickname “the time machine.” In 1973 the Concorde chased a solar eclipse over the Sahara desert, staying in the zone of totality for 74 minutes and flying at more than 1,400 miles per hour. This is the longest duration humans have ever spent continuously in an eclipse.
