@patricia.otero: Lucy passed away in March of 2020. My client wanted me to paint a dream he had just before she passed. ❤️ Together, we gathered photos from landscapes, valleys, rivers, and from Lucy. I sketched and planned the portrait following his guidance, and after months of work, this was the final result. 🍃A fragment of the dream🍃 “Lucy and I were walking through a forest thick with trees and came to a clearing that opened to a high bluff that overlooked a valley far below. We stopped just short of the tree line on top of a bluff and there were some branches overhanging us. Lucy sat down and we both stared out into the distance. The grassy bluff did not extend very far from the tree line, but it dropped steeply down to a valley with a rolling landscape, a meandering river, clumps of trees, and some animals. We could see a high mountain range in the distance. Lucy was running up a hill. She stopped and turned her head to me and was smiling as usual. She told me it was ‘Sam’s turn’, then vanished. I had this vision late at night about 10 days after I brought my new puppy ‘Sam’, home.“ “What I miss is looking into her eyes.
