Oh okay. As a Native American, many of us don't like or use that term. So I wasn't sure honestly. Personally, in my own opinion, I wish other Natives would stop being okay with it too. Some dont care.

Indians are from INDIA anybody who isn't from India is NOT Indian they would be aboriginal people..

In Canada we say “Indigenous”, but the legal term is “Indian”. Probs because it’s too much of hassle to change all the government paperwork to a new word

It took me a sec bc I was like “Indians get free health care in US but Indigenous ppl don’t?” Then I realized 😂 my dad’s side says Indian too. Just depends on location and fam :)

In my household, we say native. My kids/bd is Native and it’s not about being PC it’s about correcting the ignorant terms derived from earlier times… Personally I’d stop using that term… 1/3
