My husband had is left hip replaced a year ago this month. He walks with a limp, and says his leg is shorter. Can that be true ?

Left hip replacement that fractured during surgery. 7 weeks later another surgery to repair my trochanter that pulled away from original repair. 2 surgeries in 7 weeks. 😭 Rough journey for me.

Had total right hip replaced 2008! Now right leg is almost 1 1/2” longer!!

Had my right hip done in 2004. Still great. Left in 2012. Had to have a revision of left in 2014. Liner slipped down and hip was dislocating.

It’ll be 2 years for me in early August. Best thing I ever did even though I was only 41. Down 70 pounds since the morning of surgery!

I need mine replaced and I’ve been told I’m to young. I am bone on bone using a walker…wonder if they want me completely bed ridden before they replace it.

Here’s probably a different question. I will be getting a hip replacement soon. Having GBS years ago will I suffer a longer recovery because of the weakness due to residual nerve damage in my legs?
