The only disadvantage of the Silky saw is that it can’t be sharpened; if you are good at sharpening blades, give it a try; strops could work… 👌

Silky can be dangerous. The blade can snap fairly easy compared to other saws.

Pretty cool tool. It's a little bit of a niche carry though vs say a hatchet for camping. Especially if you're solo.

the silky only cuts on the pull stroke to use stronger muscles and the blade is ground to a taper so the cut is wider than the spine to reduce drag. good gear
