What about park play dates instead until he’s older and parents are typically more comfortable. My sons almost 5 and I’d def stay with him but I also am with you on the not wanting to entertain lol

as a 4 y.o mom I'd assume I was staying for the first visit definitely.. after I knew the parents/kiddos a bit maybe I'd expect to be the overseer of all kids

tbh u never know what it means, im always making plans for my little brother n his friends n its a coin flip whether they stay or not but somehow whenever i dont feel like being social, they stay 😭

I used to go with my nephew on play dates and I definitely think that maybe try to see if you can meet the moms when you pick jay up from school.. that’s what we would do and we would go out to parks
