🚨 BE CAREFUL | TAX EVASION VS. TAX AVOIDANCE 🚨 1️⃣ LLC Transfer for Anonymity This creator suggested buying property in one LLC (which holds the mortgage), then transferring it to another LLC for “anonymity.” But here's the problem: transferring a property can trigger a due-on-sale clause in your mortgage, forcing you to have to pay off the loan immediately. Plus, public records can still trace ownership, so this transfer doesn't guarantee privacy. Instead, consider alternatives like using my Real Wealth Matrix framework for true privacy (check the pinned post in my profile). 2️⃣ Property Management LLC and Deducting Personal Expenses While it's common to set up a property management LLC to collect rent, you cannot write off personal expenses like home utilities or car depreciation unless they’re strictly business-related. And if you pay yourself a salary from that LLC, remember: it’s not just a "tax write-off"—you'll be responsible for payroll taxes and income taxes for the personal income received. Always separate personal and business finances to stay compliant. 3️⃣ Writing Off Vacation as a Business Expense This one’s a big no-no. Just because you have a meeting before and after your vacation doesn’t mean the whole trip is deductible. The IRS only allows deductions if the primary purpose of the trip is business. Setting up a meeting at the start and end of a weekend vacation could still get you flagged for an audit, and personal time won’t count as a business expense. 4️⃣ Mileage and Depreciation Misuse Tracking mileage with an app like Everlance is great, but remember, only business mileage is deductible. Personal trips don’t count, and neither do exaggerated claims. 💡 Pro Tip: Tax reduction is about strategy, not shortcuts that could lead to penalties or worse — tax evasion. Talk with an actual Tax Strategist for more accurate advice. credit (IG): Storm Leroy - @iamstormleroy SF0507
