Bill has a soft tissue injury to his left carpus (wrist) from bite wounds, a laceration on his left flank, and significant inflammation of his scrotal area. His wounds are likely contributing to the stiffness noted on examination. He also has mild hip dysplasia. Bill needs continued wound care, veterinary follow-up, and monitoring as he heals. A safe and stable environment would give him the best chance for recovery. This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to medical concerns beyond our scope of care. DX: Xray (RL & VD View both front legs and Pelvis and rear legs)=Does have mild bilateral hip dysplasia but no other osseous abnormalities. A: Soft tissue injury secondary to bite wounds on the left carpus, laceration on left flank area and also scrotal sack area very inflamed. Wounds most likely cause of stiffness on examination P: TX: Clindamycin (150mg/ml) 2.3cc SQ TX: Carprofen (50mg/ml) 2.7cc SQ RX: Clindamycin 150mg 2C BID 10 days RX: Carprofen 100mg 1T SID 7 days RX: Gabapentin 300mg 1C BID 7 days Reversed sedation with Atipamezole (5mg/ml) .5cc IM 10/6: Adoption Exam Completed Altered: no Rabies given in RR leg; DA2PP given SQ in RF leg; Bordetella given intranasally Flea and Heartworm Prevention given; Pyrantel given PO Blood sample pulled to perform heartworm test: negative Microchip Implanted Shelter Observation 10/5: QAR,injured so walked slowly veyr shy was scared but allowed me to scan or microchip other wise did like me getting near tried to give a treat but didn't want it 10/6: Laying on bedding, facing away from me did not show interest in interacting.
