It is one of the first trees to leaf in Spring, and because of this and its association withthe fertility Goddesses, it is one of the main trees for Beltane. ⭐ In Welsh custom, gifting a bundle of Birch sticks was supposed to symbolise the union between two people. ⭐ Birch trees were used for the May Pole, which is actually a fertility symbol. ⭐ Couples would make love underneath a Birch tree or in a Birch woodland as part of Beltane fertility rituals. As well as the magic and inspiration of the Birch tree, it also has incredible healing qualities. You can tree tap the sap and drink it as it is, or make it into syrup or wine. The sap is an incredible anti-inflammatory and can also help to prevent kidney stones. 🌱The bark can be used as a diuretic, an antiseptic and a tonic, and when applied topically it can help to alleviate muscle pain.
