i haven't paid a hospital bill in 5 years. i let it go to collections and then write a letter to the collection company stating they never had my consent to obtain my medical records&it goes bye bye

First…always ask for an itemized bill! There are always mistakes on hospital bills…per my physician father. I agree with you after seeing the itemized statement(s).

I just went thru this. a company says they billed my insurance, but 1 phone call said no they never did. Make those calls, it could save you thousands!! Now i always wait for the EOB.
