The thing with stainless steel is that it's hypoallergenic and my ears for example won't turn red and inflamed from it like some cheap earrings do, also stainless steel shouldn't tarnish in water.

It’s more about the fact that it’s usually a metal that doesn’t cause allergy to people with sensitive skin. So if the alternative is brass or iron etc.. I’m using SS if it’s meant to be affordable.

You might not like to using it to design your jewelry but, stainless steel is everything, it’s tarnish free and the next best thing to fine Jewelry for a fraction of the cost. Sterling starnishes.

Stainless steel can be plated with rhodium or gold to achieve the desired color. Brass is not an option, cause it can oxidize if the plating is chipping and then the whole piece is ruined.

Always confused by people who say they don’t care about the color of gold plated stainless steel as long as it doesn’t tarnish. Cause like, no it won’t tarnish, but it already looks tarnished anyway! That’s why a lot of people don’t like it, the color looks like tarnished jewelry!

lol I prefer the look of stainless steel to silver these days. I don't like how silver gets that yellowy colour and needs polishing, it's not as strong etc
