@thesoutherlymagnolia: Happy Earth Day! 🌎 In honor of Earth Day, I decided to give bao buns a try. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint! I am going to call these Nutella Bao 💣 because they are stuffed with Nutella 🤌🏼 Ingredients: 2 cups flour 1 tsp instant yeast 1 tsp baking powder 2 tsp sugar 1/8 tsp salt 3/4 cup milk 1/4 cup Nutella Green & blue food coloring Add all the dry ingredients to a large mixing bowl and stir. Add in the milk and stir until incorporated. Then knead by mixer or hand for 5 minutes. Cover and allow to rest for 10 minutes. Divide the dough up into 2 parts, one a little larger than the other. Add blue food coloring to 1 dough ball and green to the other. Then combine the 2 and form into a ball. Cover and allow to double in size, 1-2 hours. Divide the dough into equal parts, and form each one into a ball. Cover them as you work 1 at a time, rolling out into a parchment paper square, place 1 tbsp of Nutella into the center, and pinch/fold all the way around to form a ball. Once you are done with all, place into a steamer basket. Cover and allow to rise for 15 minutes. Then turn on the stovetop to medium-high heat. When steam begins to rise from the sides, start the timer for 15 minutes. Once 15 minutes is up, turn oven off and allow the bao 💣 to rest for 3-4 minutes before lifting lid and removing.
