anyone who believes that you need a healer or something like that hasn't broken out of the video game approach to the game. for the record, healing in battle is not as effective as killing an enemy

If my players don't want to play healers, I make sure they have a chance to use hit dice, take rests, buy potions, and even find healing herbs. Don't punish your players for wanting to have fun!

A system I've seen some people use is Lifesteal. They regain half the amount of damage dealt to enemy as temporary hit points

We don't have a healer in our party! We just pass around healing potions when needed, a few of us just have a random healing spell and we accept the risk of going down mid fight o7

I gave my no healer party heal guns (that also do minor damage) & dermal regenerators that won’t revive. They have to play smart with them

Right. Still trying to see the use of a designated healer. The supposed toughest enemy we fought was a “party killer” at our level and he was bullied through pot shots and horded potions
