We do sometimes but we use credit cards points and it’s so much more affordable! On the flip side, I work with people who fly first class who are just happy to pay £10k+ 😂

If you fly constantly for work, you get huge numbers of air miles points, which you can use to upgrade to business or first class for free. Also hotels for free etc. It’s all folk who work in finance!

BA sale, depart from Oslo or certain cities in Europe if flying long haul as the taxes are cheaper on fares or book with Amex/Avios/Your airline points. Needs more planning sometimes but doable😊

Trav agent here..Why are there so many comments of people saying “no one pays..” yes they absolutely do, if you can comfortably afford it it’s an amazing way to fly. You have to look out for sales.

BAPP amex avios and companion voucher. We fly to SE Asia once a year in business class with that. The taxes make it the same cost as flying economy.

🙋🏼♂️9 times out of 10 it’s on points, but some routes (Australia the main one) it’s impossible to find rewards seats. On a flight like that I couldn’t justify economy to myself.

I pay- but I hate to fly and seldom do- it’s the only way to get me on a plane. But I try to find other options first - train, ferry, self drive. But when I fly I pay because I won’t chance an upgrade

Start a credit card that gets you points. I sometimes fly business because of this. if you have a good status with the airline you get last minute offers that are decent, you need to fly a lot
