When you put it on dum, add a few tablespoons of water and flip rice halfway through dum. Itll be perfect

I always wash the rice else I feel like it’s too sticky. Also to see if it’s ready to drain you can see the ridges on the grain. Then I always drizzle some oil to make sure they don’t clump b4 dum.

Soak for 30 mins, wash rice till water runs clear. Put it big pot of water & cook 7-8 mins and drain. All done

When I put it on dum I drizzle some oil and then give it a quick fluff so that almost all the rice has some oil on it and then place it back on dum. My grains never stick together.

Try Sehla rice! It’s long grain and very beginner friendly. I just pop it in the instant pot and perf everytime!

I can make everything but rice always scares me. Lol. The draining method is the best but adding salt and cumin seeds when boiling makes the rice taste so much better.
