@charlotteroseequestrian: We tend to expect that horses can do whatever we ask without limitations and then we assume that when they cant, that its just because they are “trying to get out of it” or doing it to spite us in some way. In reality some movements are more challenging to some horses than others. I do pole dancing and i can do SO MANY tricks one direction but when i try the other direction- oh god its so hard. To the point that I just avoid doing it. This is exactly what i experienced with Tarek and learning to pickup the correct canter leads.
