yeah but what if I realise there's not a logical reason behind mt no and it's not that deep so I change my mind.

Karla :
A tantrum is just their way of communicating. Maybe instead of no a why not. If it’s a safety issue then it may be no but allow them to reason with you.

Walking away is also good. Giving acknowledgment to any sort of negative behavior enforces that the negative behavior will get a reaction out of you, which is what they want.

I love this! I am a mother and I work in a school district. Parents don’t hold their kids accountable anymore and it doesn’t help anyone. I love this!

I agree to an extent…particularly toddlers are learning to regulate emotions which equals a tantrum. These feelings can be overwhelming. I make sure she knows it’s okay to feel that way and I’m here

Usually tantrums are because of a power struggle with you vs them. They like choices. Give them alternative choices that you’re ok with!

Yep! This has ALWAYS been the rule in our house. Once they learn that throwing a fit will get them what they want they won’t stop.

I was told always be firm in taking away things . If we can’t stop yelling no desert. Even after the tantrum ends still no desert. Which can be hard after time passed to still discipline
