In Sweden we always ask if they already have any vacation plans on an interview. We are not toxic and we know everyone need vacations.

I did the exact opposite to all of your advice and had multiple second interviews and have now started my new job that immediately offered after my first interview. genuine employers that care about you, will want you to feel comfortable talking about your personal life and any issues going on. its an employees market, stay firm on your morals and the right employer will appear.

No issue with the holiday isssue being raised. If I’m likely to take someone on then I always ask so I can be sure the dates are booked off for them immediately.
