@righteouseats: It’s been a week since we posted our highlight of @Jetaimejatee and Je T’aime Patisserie in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. The reaction from the community has been tremendous, to say the least. Jatee’s story and goal have resonated with folks on multiple levels—an unfortunate reminder that access to food, information, and the path towards entrepreneurship are often stymied for certain groups by societal factors. Knowing this, is perhaps why so many folks have felt inclined to contribute to Jatee’s mission. At the time of this post, the GoFundMe page Jatee and her sister set up has raised close to $5,000. As implied in the video, we plan to host a collaborative community event in Bed-Stuy in June, as both Jatee and we are fully occupied in May.
