@the_vintagearian: Leave a #🌷 if you like! 😃 I did not return from the Netherlands empty handed 🥰 Thanks to Joost the tulip farmer who gifted me this bunch of pink beauties! They are called Niigata Tulips and are a Darwin hybrid, a cross between single late tulips and early emperor tulips and named after the city of Niigata which holds a tulip festival each year in Japan 🇯🇵 They had been cut in the morning, fresh from the field - alas they had to endure the long journey back home and went without water for 24 hrs before I finally was able to get them into my vase. 😬 🤭 Have you also trouble choosing the right height of vase for tulips? 😅 These cheeky beauties keep growing after they have been cut - so to prevent them from drooping, you might call it a tulip-hack that I chose a vase that seemed too big at first but then proved to be the right size after all! 😇 They have just become just the right height after a couple of days, don’t you think? 💦 Remember to change the water in your vase every other day for this method to support their growth. 💡You may also choose a smaller vase of course and cut them vertically at the bottom of the stem to prevent them from growing. I read that the growth is also limited if you only add fresh water instead of changing it entirely. 🤗 #cozy #calming #comforting #satisfying #relaxing #cottagecore #asmr #tulip #tulips #niigatatulips #niigatatulip #tuliphack #flower #flowers #springflowers #flowerarrangement #vintagevibes #vintageguy #bloom #blooming #springvibes #vintagehome #vintagehomedecor #homedecor #cutflowers #slowliving #fyp
